AB 325: Pricing Algorithm

Prohibits the use or distribution of a common pricing algorithm

AB 723: Digitally-altered images

Disclosure of digitally altered images in marketing

AB 130: Balcony Inspections

Additional time for balcony inspection repairs

AB 414: Return of Deposit

Electronic return of security deposits is the default option when the initial deposit was made electronically.

SB 610: Remediation After Disaster

It is the duty of a landlord to undertake remediation, as may be necessary, dilapidations such as removal of debris or the presence of smoke residue or ash, that arise as a result of a disaster.

AB 1414: Internet Service

Prohibits a landlord from requiring a tenant to use a particular internet service provider.

SB 655: Max Indoor Temp.

Declares that the established policy of the state is that all rental dwelling units must be able to maintain a safe maximum indoor temperature.

AB 628: Refrigerators

Requires the landlord to provide both a stove and a refrigerator.

AB 246: Evictions

If a tenant cannot pay their rent due to an interruption in the payment of Social Security benefits, the tenant may assert an affirmative defense to an unlawful detainer based on non-payment of rent.

AB 747: Service of Notice

Increases the procedural requirements for substituted service.
